Day one

Well, we are here in Ashy-ville North Carolina! After a five hour car ride and a stop at Cracker Barrel to load up on mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and biscuits, we arrived at the Bear Creek lodge.

Our "dinner" was actually lovely...I had chipotle rubbed steak and Michelle had tofu sauteed with onions, and we both had a pretty salad with edible flowers and sweet potato waffles.

It's gorgeous...the woods are as beautiful as we expected, and the foliage is incredible. We learned how to use hiking poles tonight, which was weird. But cool. And we drank tea with probiotics and flax in it. And then we sat in the infrared sauna and giggled and sweated for fifty minutes.

But, most importantly, we just watched EIGHT MINUTES of Twilight that leaked onto YouTube from the premiere in Rome OH MY GAHHHHH!!!!!

We will be posting each day, with pictures, so you don't miss us so badly. We will probably post each evening because we are to be "awakened every morning at 6am by gentle knocking on the door". Check back tomorrow night for our "before" pictures!*
